Hematology and Oncology encompass diseases of the blood and tumor-related illnesses. I want to quickly and uncomplicatedly assist you or your child in case of a relevant suspicion. It is important to know that malignant tumors must be treated at a specialized center. In this regard, I collaborate closely with colleagues at the University Hospital in Tübingen.
Ultrasound diagnostics hold significant value for patients of all ages. They can be performed quickly, are neither frightening nor painful, and do not involve exposure to radiation. In cases of suspected tumors—as well as in many other diagnostic scenarios—ultrasound plays an essential role. Christina Loichinger has many years of clinical experience, not only in routine diagnostics but especially in the evaluation of thyroid disorders. Wolfgang Loichinger is a DEGUM course instructor and a member of the ultrasound commission of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians of Baden-Württemberg.
Palliative care in children and adolescents focuses on the care of patients with incurable diseases, especially those with severe multiple disabilities. It is crucial to listen carefully to the predominant symptoms that patients are experiencing and to alleviate suffering pragmatically and, if necessary, unconventionally using all available measures, both pharmacological and non-pharmacological.
